Playing about on a freeware synth called SoundSphere (which, unfortunately, I can't save from so I've had to record live from the laptop speakers), came up with a sort of ethereal but melancholic sound that made me think of the decline of the natural world. That's really the basis of the lyrics. The rest of the sounds are filtered variations on that synth and me doing my best Phil Minton impression; using the voice as instrument. Quite like to do some kind of semi-abstract video for it, if I could think how to do it.
